Recruitment Counselors
The
Recruitment Counselors (Rho Chis) are a select team of sorority women
who have the unique opportunity to work directly with prospective new
members during Panhellenic Recruitment. The Rho Chis disaffiliate themselves
from their own chapter in order to represent the Greek community as a
whole.
All of the Rho Chis undergo extensive training
prior to Panhellenic Recruitment, they are trained to answer questions,
listen to concerns, and offer counsel as guests prepare to make many of
the important decisions associated with the recruitment process.
The 2001 Rho Chis
are:
Jaimie Barnes
Kim Clark
Dana Dutcher
Lindsay Gage
Carrie Gilbertson
Kara Linewebber
Rochelle Mallett
Erica Misfeldt
Alison Umberger
Ann Weaver
It's Your Decision
The
decision to join a sorority is a very important one and should be one
that is strictly your own. Sorority membership is purely a matter of voluntary
mutual choice and you are the only one that can decide what is best for
you.
Someone else's feelings about a sorority
are not important. The most important factor in your choice to become
a member of a Greek letter organization should be whether or not you feel
comfortable amongst the women of that sorority.
There is no standard for ranking sororities
and all of the chapters on this campus are excellent. We encourage you
to keep an open mind throughout Panhellenic Recruitment and to pledge
the chapter that appeals the most to you as an individual.
Sorority membership is based on a mutual
selection process. This process ensures that not only do the sororities
select new members, but as a potential new member, you also preference
the chapters with which you wish to be affiliated.
