My name is Allison Hausman and I am currently a junior at Nebraska Wesleyan University. I have been studying Spanish for seven years now and am very excited about getting into the classroom and sharing my enthusiasm for the language with my future students. I will be studying abroad next fall in Spain or Argentina. I am anxious to expand my knowledge in my studies so I can better serve my class' interests when I student teach in the spring of 2010.

This Webquest is being designed for my Education 187: Introductional Technologies course. I know I need to keep myself updated on new findings in the realm of Spanish, but I also need to modernize my teaching tools. In this Webquest, you will see demonstrated one new tool I am familiarizing myself with: More student-centered lesson plans and projects made accessible via the Internet.

I chose to design my Webquest around the Spanish Marxist Revolutionary, Ernesto "Che" Guevara. I want students to research and watch a movie about Guevara's life prior to this introduction to the Revolution and Fidel Castro. Then, I look at his life during the Revolution so that students can see all aspects of his involvement. At the end of the project, students will evaluate from all their information whether or not they think Che was a hero or villain in the Revolution.
