Welcome! My name is Bridget Baldwin and I am currently a junior at Nebraska Wesleyan University. I am psychology major with a secondary education endorsement and an art minor. I plan to student teach in the spring of 2009. I hope to pursue a career in teaching and coaching at a high school. I created this WebQuest because I feel art is an important subject for a student to take because it enhances ones life on many levels. This will also allow students to use and become familiar with the technology available to them.
My WebQuest is designed as an interactive teaching activity that will allow Senior High students to explore the field of art and artwork on a new level. I designed this WebQuest for Education 187: Instructional Technology. Students will assume the role of an impressionist painter and create a painting using this same style. They will then display their artwork in a school art show. This activity gives students an opportunity to learn about impressionism and a specific artist and how to do research on the Internet.
