Hey there’s a picture of me! Now how the heck did my picture get there? Wait! This is MY webpage. Well, gosh I guess I better do a introduction paragraph. My name is Evan Halpain and as of right now I am a sophomore at Nebraska Wesleyan University. I plan on pursuing a double major in Elementary and Special Education.
This website was made for the class, Education 187: Instructional Technology. This website is intended for second to fourth grade. This will have links to other projects I have worked on in this class. These projects come from programs such as PowerPoint, Indesign, Dreamweaver, and iMovie. The aspects I have learned from this class will be extremely beneficial and fun for my future elementary classroom.
One of the elements I want to bring to the elementary classroom is relating to the kids. I know you can tell a student something but will he/she necessarily retain it? So in my quest to make education fun and memorable, I remembered one of my favorite cartoon shows, Dexter’s Laboratory. I believe interrelating this childhood show of mine with the science unit can be fun for them and what they will learn from it will be beneficial for the rest of their school career.
