STRENGTHS AND ABILITIES

My own individual strengths include being a hard worker and being dedicated at whatever I do. Some of my greater personal characteristics include being outgoing, laid back, and I always try to make the best of things. All of my abilities are reflected everyday in everything I do. Whether it is graduating high school and going to college, working hard to improve in track, or even in my studies, I use my abilities to their full potential to get to where I want to be. Some of the abilities I would like to improve include my studying and even my abilities to become a better person. I like to do many things, pretty much the same as everyone else like hanging out with friends and family, high jumping, working with athlete in athletic training, and just having a fun time. There are times though, when I just feel like sitting around watching TV and doing nothing.
My academic strengths include Sciences like Biology, Health Science, Anatomy, and pretty much anything to do with the body. I am also good at working with computers and can do okay in Math. My favorite out of those would have to be anatomy; I enjoy learning what makes the body work and how it works. Some special skills I have include, working with computers, knowing quite a bit about the body, and high jumping. I am also a pretty good people person and am able to talk with peers or adults easily. Some skills I would like to improve on are the skills I'm am already proficient at, I will always feel that I can learn more or become better at what I do.
My overall goals are kind of big. I want to graduate college and get my ATC certification and be accepted into grad school where I hope to become a Physical Therapist or an Orthopedic Doctor. I want to get married and have two or three healthy kids and just live a happy life. As far as where I would like to live would probably be in Seattle or somewhere in Colorado. In five years I hope to be working my way through grad school and working part time as an Athletic Trainer to pay the bills. In ten years I hope to be doing my residency and people will be calling my Dr. Smoyer and in twenty years I hope to have found a wife and started a family living in one of the places above and be good at my profession.
I hope to work in either an urban or suburban area. I just like the bigger cities. I love having tons of things to do to keep me busy. I want to live in a nice neighborhood where everyone knows everyone and hopefully living around some people who have similar careers. I would love to be able to work with athletes whether college or pro simply because I love sports and I enjoy the satisfaction or helping an athlete to return to play. I would prefer to be working in my own clinic or even in a hospital or maybe as a pro team doctor. I would hope to make quite a bit for where I live, but in reality, just as long as I make enough so that I and my family can live comfortably. I would like to work a normal work week but as a doctor I know I will have awkward hours but I hope to be around my family as much as possible. Vacation time really wouldn’t matter that much just as long as I have the ability to spend time with family when I want.
