My name is Mikhail Happ. I am a junior at Nebraska Wesleyan University. I am pursuing a degree in Elementary Education hoping to one day teach lower elementary students. I am really looking forward to teaching because I enjoy being around kids and watching them grow and learn. I am planning on doing my student teaching in the fall of 2010.
I am creating this website for my Instructional Technology 187 class. On this website you will find projects done by me during the class and I hope that they will be useful for your students. This website was produced in order to explore what I have learned through the Instructional Technology course but also for ideas to further my own students understanding. I believe that technology plays an important role in society so therefore I plan to use it extensively in my own classroom.
My webquest is geared for beginning fourth graders who will be researching the different places that Nebraska has to offer for tourists as well as what symbolizes the beautiful state of Nebraska. The fourth graders will then become creative in making brochures of the information that they researched. At the end of the project the students will start to understand what Nebraska stands for as well as some important places it has to offer in getting them started on the Nebraska unit of fourth grade social studies.
